Yesterday was our TEN year anniversary. As part of the celebrations, we made an "anniversary cake," labeling some of the highlights of our life together over the past few years (notice that part of the cake was eaten before we even decorated it...I think that speaks volumes about this phase of our lives).
This was our anniversary cake from our fifth year. Some things have changed a lot and some things never will!
We also spent some time watching highlights of home videos of the last 10 years. It was so delightfully funny.
As we reminisced together I explained to John that the last ten years have been far from what I expected they'd be like, but when I look at where we are today- what we've done and who we've become, it's exactly what I had hoped for.

Today I have a grateful heart for all the good in my life and I look forward to what the next ten years might have in store.
(*I realize that I haven't posted in a while- a week of preparations, a week of vacationing, and a week of recovery will really wipe you out! I plan to post about our trip to Hawaii soon!)

Happy 10th! Mike and I will celebrate our 5th anniversary in November...I love the cake idea! Your boys are so adorable! Love seeing the pictures of them!
Great anniversary idea...we're coming up on #5 this year so maybe we'll have to adopt that. Happy 10 years! Such a great couple. Can't wait to hear about Hawaii!
